Mokopuna Maori Arts and Taa Moko is a family-owned entity established in 2008 with the mission to preserve, promote, and perpetuate Maori arts and crafts. From hand made taonga to then upgrading with modern technology to an industrial laser cutting machine, has lead Mokopuna Māori Arts & Taa Moko to the creation of KOIA DESIGNS.KOIA DESIGNS produces affordable Pahono Pūrākau for therapeutic and educational purposes, giving whānau an opporrtunity to connect to Te Ao Māori through mahi toi. As a Tohunga Whakairo, unique pieces featuring traditional patterns and forms from various iwi across Aotearoa are created, using the most cost-effective materials to ensure Māori Taonga are accessible for all whānau.
