Kaupapa

Rangatahi Tumeke has been conducting outdoor wānanga in Murihiku for 10 years, focusing on traditional mahinga kai cultural practices and leadership opportunities. Participants spend five days immersed in the ngāhere, moana, and whenua of the Catlins, all from a taha Māori perspective. The program accepts applications from rangatahi aged 12-17, with camp attendance ranging from 20 to 25 individuals. Additionally, the program offers various other opportunities, encouraging and welcoming anyone who enjoys the outdoors and a challenge to apply.
