Te Ātiawa o Te Waka-a-Māui Trust holds mana whenua and mana moana across Te Tauihu and operates offices in Waikawa and Motueka. Mandated by their Trust Deed, the Trust is dedicated to protecting iwi rights and interests, while delivering socio-economic benefits to their nearly 4,000 registered and growing members. They strive to be tūpuna led, values-based, and mokopuna driven through the principles of Pumau, Kaitiakitanga, Pono, and Manaakitanga.
